KATE - CREATIVE DIRECTOR, 9 YEARS
How I got started in my career: I had a great mentor at my previous job that pushed me to go back to school for graphic design. I went back and was brough over to the marketing team once I graduated.
What I love most about my job is... The people that I get to work with.
When I'm not at working I can be found… Running around with my two kids.
My go-to CleverMade product is the... Tahoe 18 Can cooler – this is my go-to day cooler for all my adventures, big or small. It holds ice ALL DAY LONG. Best part is it is travel friendly as it collapses down and fits neatly in your luggage.
LISA – DOMESTIC OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, 8 YEARS
How I got started in my career: First logistic job was in 2008 @ SKLZ in Carlsbad and I’ve been shipping domestic goods ever since 😊
What I love most about my job is... working with our warehouse team in Ashland, VA. I have amazing relationships there which makes my job much easier. Our Clevermade team in Carlsbad are so amazing too. We are like a small family! Many of the team members I’ve known my entire career - very special!
When I'm not at working I can be found… Working out at Pure Barre
My go-to CleverMade product is the... X-Frame Hamper because they are the best for messy boys! They help keep them organized and my house clean.
AMANDA – SALES DIRECTOR, 5+ YEARS
How I got started in my career: I began my career at Frito Lay in HR, but the sales team saw potential in me and encouraged me to transition to the sales team. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to hold roles in sales support, analytics & sales.
What I love most about my job is... Building relationships with our retailers. It is rewarding to work with our retail partners to bring the right products to their shoppers.
When I'm not at working I can be found… Cheering on the sidelines of my kid’s soccer games. I am in my soccer mom era, cheering them along every step of the way.
My go-to CleverMade product is the... Collapsible Crates – a must have for trunk organization.
YESICA – INTERATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER, 3 YEARS
How I got started in my career: Started temping for DC Shoes, Inc. in 2005, in the apparel sector, learned so much from some amazing bosses and teammates during my 6 years with the company, specifically in global supply chain and logistics, and just worked my way up in the action sports/apparel industry! 20 years later, I’m still doing what I love!
What I love most about my job is... being able to build long lasting relationships with our manufacturing partners overseas and work together to help produce and ship some awesome products to the best customers!!
When I'm not at work, I can be found… At a Padres game! Whether it’s traveling to Arizona for Spring Training, our beloved Petco Park for a home game, or a new MLB ballpark, currently planning on chasing ballpark #20 & #21 out of 30 this year 😊, I’ll be there! Also, looking forward to our 1st SDFC soccer home game of the season & franchise!!
My go-to CleverMade product is the... Storage Slide. These bad boys help me keep my closet nice and organized! So during current Winter season, all my jackets/warm clothes is hung up in the closet, while my Spring/Summer clothes is nicely packed in the bags and fit perfectly under my bed!
JOANNA - CUSTOMER SERVICE & MARKETING COORDINATOR, 2+ YEARS
How I got started in my career: I got my degree in Merchandising and Marketing. I started in Customer Service at CleverMade, but had been wanting to move into Marketing. With the backing and support from our Creative Director (Kate), I am now a member of our marketing team.
What I love most about my job is... working with some truly amazing and talented people. With a background predominantly in theatre and the beauty industry, consumer goods was intimidating. The CleverMade team is always willing to help and educate when need be. I get to educate customers on our products and think of creative ways to showcase them.
When I'm not at working I can be found… Reading, going to a concert or musical, or shouting at the TV while watching Jeopardy.
My go-to CleverMade product is the... Malibu LUXE Tote. The integrated laptop compartment is handy and it has plenty of room for all my travel essentials (wallet, phone, book, snacks, etc.) and fits perfectly under the seat while on a plane.
CARLA - FINANCIAL CONTROLLER, 1+ MONTH
How I got started in my career: I started as an auditor at a public accounting firm and loved being able to learn so much about a company through its financial statements. Numbers tell a story and by being involved in the accounting side of a company, I'm able to make sure the story is told accurately.
What I love most about my job is... the ability to be involved at a high level in every aspect of the company. I need to have a good idea of what is going on so I can make sure the financials are reflecting that. If they aren't, then we're able to figure out what needs to be fixed before it becomes a problem.
When I'm not at working I can be found… doing anything outside! I love running, hiking, cycling, gardening...... pretty much anything outdoors. I also love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
My go-to CleverMade product is the... EASE shelving. I've only been at CleverMade for a short time so I only have one "go-to" at this point. Quite the "game changer" for the garage.
